Lavon Water Sports is operated by Greg and Dan of AJ Water Sports, LLC, renting Pontoon Boats, Ski Boats, Wave Runners, Fishing Boats and our famous 50-person Party Barge. We hope to make every rental experience a memorable and fun event, so always let us know what would make your event more enjoyable and know that we are willing to get the products and services you need.
We also operate The Harbor House right next door and can arrange for catering from there or from other providers in the area.

Greg and Dan started Lavon Water Sports in 2009, taking over from Ron (Ron's Water Sports) who operated the boat rental for about eight years. Soon after launching Lavon Water Sports, we were given the opportunity to take on The Harbor House, so now our company has a mission to promote Lake Lavon and let the locals know that they have a lake right next door. Lake Lavon is a well kept secret but we have been very successful in growing the businesses and seeing more families enjoy a day on the lake. We serve the full metroplex and host company / team events on our party barge for businesses and major corporations.
We stay involved in the Chamber of Commerce and welcome other business owners to utilize our services to promote your business and entertain your customers. We also welcome law enforcement, fire department staff and current and past members of the military to visit at a discounted price.
The chartered party barge can be set up with catering, servers, DJs, bands, card games and many other services through partners of Lavon Water Sports. We operate within Collin Park, which is managed separately and a fee is charged to enter the park. The park charges $2 per vehicle and $2 per person (car + driver = $4) and they only accept cash. Party Barge party guests and restaurant customers are not charged at the gate.
Rental Information:
- Open April 1st to October 31st, every day 9am until sunset (weather permitting)
- Open year-round by appointment - Just call ahead to arrange a boat
- All units driven by you, must be returned before dark. Charters don't have time limits.
- We accept Cash, Checks and All Credit Cards
- Advertised *prices include first tank of gas and all safety equipment (*note below)
- Skis/tubes/wake boards are included with ski boats and pontoon boats at no extra charge
- Sorry, the marina does not allow pets
*Temporary Fuel Surcharge. Due to high fuel cost, we have a temporary $5 per hour fuel surcharge. Fuel at the lake pump is approx. 50 cents higher than gas stations. The $5 per hour fee does not cover the cost of gas but helps off-set the currently high cost, while avoiding an increase in rental rates and keeping the surcharge temporary.
